Sara Durocher joined the Curtis Miner Architecture family in April 2007. As Office Manager, she helped the firm define the position and over the years has developed processes for invoicing, meeting management, staff recognition, and many others. But what impresses her peers and colleagues even more than her organization and procedures is the kind and compassionate way she does her work.
She has a genuine interest in the details of others’ lives. She likes to ask how we are doing and then listens sincerely. In this way, she has been able to discover each person’s personal story connecting and focusing on what matters most.
When looking through company photos to reflect on Sara’s time at CMA, it quickly became apparent that as a photography buff, she spends more time behind the camera than in front of it. She is lovingly referred to as the office ‘Mom.’ This means that, true to form, she is the one organizing and gathering our CMA family for various events capturing the moments with her camera.

Sara has exhibited an amazing sense of loyalty to Curtis Miner Architecture. It is with this same loyalty that she will be returning home to Nevada to care for her aging parents, focusing on family and what matters most.

“Sara has been an integral part of the Curtis Miner Architecture family for over 12 years and we are sad to see her leave,” says Principal Curtis Miner. “But we are proud of her for having the courage to take the next important step in her life. We will miss her thoughtfulness, her generosity, and her heart.”
