Kurt-Mather-Principal-Architect

Congratulations to our newest Principal Architect, Kurt Mather!

Kurt has been with CMA since the very early days in 2000. In fact, he was the first employee hired, to work on construction documents for our first project, American Heritage School.

Kurt first became interested in drafting and architecture during his junior high and high school drafting classes where he won awards in national competitions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brigham Young University. He currently holds architectural licenses in the states of Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado and Texas.

Kurt specializes in commercial office, multi-family residential, retail, educational, and healthcare design. He has a specialized understanding of the International Building Code, Accessibility Standards and the Fair Housing Act Design Guidelines. He is an expert in facilitating designs through the city approval and construction processes.

Outside the office, he enjoys spending his free time with his family hiking in the mountains and national parks of Utah, visiting historical locations across the United States, and reading non-fictional biographies.

Congratulations, Kurt! We’re very happy to officially add your voice to our leadership.
