On the Boards: Riverton Professional Plaza

Western-GYNOB-Rendering

The owners of Western Gynecological Obstetrical Clinic, currently located in the Riverton Hospital, determined that with their lease at the hospital ending, they would build a medical office building to house the clinic and provide space for other professionals. They purchased a project site located near the hospital in Riverton, Utah.

Western GYNOB turned to Zwick Construction to help with development process; Zwick recommended Curtis Miner Architecture to design the new building.

The 2-story, 17,544 SF building is designed to optimize the use of both the property and the building square footage. The majority of the first floor is designed as “shell” space for future tenants that may prefer convenient main-floor accessibility. Western Gynecological Obstetrical Clinic will occupy the second floor of the building.

The Clinic design includes a large waiting and reception area, exam rooms, medical assistant stations, an expandable conference and break room, offices and support spaces. Exam rooms are in the center of the space to provide patient privacy during exams. Public spaces and offices are along the perimeter of the building, with access to natural light and views.

A dynamic main entry stair was designed on a corner, utilizing 2-story windows for visibility and enjoyment from both the interior and exterior of the building.

The Riverton Professional Plaza is currently under construction; the project is expected to be complete in March 2020.
