Ken Garff Corporate Center – Broadway

The interior remodel provided a contemporary new flexible work environment for the Ken Garff Automotive Group’s corporate offices.  The floor plan layout offers open work areas juxtaposed to perimeter windows allowing natural daylight to penetrate deep within the space.  Office and support spaces are delineated with furniture walls that offer white board writing surfaces, glass walls, or fabric partition walls. The use of furniture walls allows the owner long term flexibility to accommodate the ever-changing work environment.  The goal was to achieve a highly collaborative work environment while preserving the option to have privacy when needed.

The floor plan program includes open work areas, conference rooms, updated restrooms, employee amenity and break areas, updated lobbies, guest waiting and reception, etc.  Employee break room amenities are provided on each floor to create comfortable rest and eating areas.  Hydration stations are centrally located adjacent to each elevator lobby, offering beverages and snacks for employees and guests.

The existing mechanical system was modified in place to work with the new floor plan layout.  All fluorescent light fixtures were upgraded with LED retrofit lamps to provide enhanced energy efficiency and energy savings to the tenant.  An existing 3 story interior open stair was preserved in the office space to provide a connection between all three Garff floors, allowing employees to migrate up or down with ease without the use of an elevator. The open stair encourages correlation between floors and promotes a sense of company unity.
