It’s no surprise Michael Sroufe was promoted to Project Manager just three years after joining Curtis Miner Architecture (CMA). With a Master of Architecture degree, Michael was driven and eager to learn when he joined CMA in 2017. “Initially my role was as a Senior Drafter, but after gaining valuable experience working with clients and consultants, serving as Project Manager was the logical next step in my growth at CMA,” reflects Michael.
Michael assists project architects with managing multiple projects and project teams—in the office and in the field. His exceptional organizational and communication skills keep everything on schedule, because no day is ever the same. Michael explains: “My goal as a project manager is to optimize the way work gets completed while developing and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.”
What does he enjoy most about his new role? Taking the client’s vision for their project and turning it into reality. “It’s truly fulfilling to problem solve until the final solution is built,” says Michael. “A project manager must be able to think critically to develop designs and systems that work well for the client’s needs, while meeting the often-strict parameters required of the site and building.”
