Joseph D. Adams Public Safety Building
To support the evolving needs of its growing Police Department, Lehi City developed a new state of the art Police Station strategically located on the Lehi City campus. Designed by CORE Architecture, the two story, 43,834 square foot facility blends modern police station design with architectural elements inspired by historic Lehi Main Street and the iconic Broadbent Building.
The design concept reflects the evolution of a traditional Utah block, featuring varied architectural styles as if developed over time, creating a streetscape that feels both authentic and rooted in community heritage. CORE worked closely with city leaders to ensure the new municipal building aligned with Lehi’s vision for civic architecture and historical continuity.
This high performance law enforcement facility includes dedicated office space, an emergency operations center (EOC) and community room, holding cells, interview rooms, evidence processing and storage, a forensics lab, virtual reality training simulator, indoor gun range, and secure sally port access. Public parking is provided, along with a secured lot for officers and staff. Covered patrol car parking helps reduce response times and improve operational efficiency.
CORE’s design exemplifies public safety building innovation, balancing community focused design with the operational demands of modern policing. The new Lehi Police Station stands as a benchmark in secure, functional, and contextually inspired civic infrastructure for Utah communities.
