CORE Architecture is proud of its longstanding partnership with American Heritage School, having collaborated on numerous projects that reflect the school’s deep-rooted mission and educational values. The design of the American Fork campus exemplifies this meaningful relationship, blending classical design principles with modern educational functionality to create a lasting place of learning and inspiration.
Situated directly across from the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple, the school was purposefully oriented to capture temple views from key areas, including the main corridors, library, and boardroom. This alignment reinforces the school’s mission to instill faith, patriotism, and academic excellence—integrating symbolic visual connections into the everyday experience of students, staff, and visitors.
The architectural design draws from the temple’s elements, incorporating refined detailing, symmetry, and materiality that mirror its spiritual and aesthetic character. This visual harmony creates a built environment that both inspires and elevates the educational setting.
As a K-12 facility, the building was organized into distinct classroom pods, tailored to each age group to support individualized instruction while maintaining efficient access to shared spaces such as the library, performance areas, and administrative offices. This approach balances personalization with community, enhancing both academic outcomes and student well-being.
