Diamond Ridge & Entrada High School Remodels

CORE Architecture worked with Canyons School District to remodel Bell View Elementary in Sandy, Utah, into Diamond Ridge and Entrada High Schools. This education-focused renovation aligns with our mission to create inspiring environments for students of all ages.

The remodel involved reconfiguring multiple classrooms to better serve evolving educational needs. Three classrooms were reimagined into two modern science labs, complete with new gas and heat connections, improved lighting, durable flooring, and vital safety elements like eyewash stations—supporting STEM education in a dynamic setting. Two additional classrooms were redesigned as a high school-level art studio, offering a creative, age-appropriate space to foster artistic expression.

Another key component was the transformation of one classroom into a state-of-the-art FACS (Family & Consumer Science) classroom. This space includes four kitchen lab areas and eight sewing stations, promoting life skills education in a collaborative, modern environment.

To support early childhood education, one classroom was converted into a preschool, with one-third of the space allocated to a new infant and childcare area. A functional Dutch door connects the spaces, providing flexibility and safety for caregivers and children.

At Entrada High School, one classroom was transformed into a new administrative suite and secure entry, while another classroom and a computer lab were reconfigured into a dedicated counseling suite with offices to support student wellness. Restroom renovations were also completed, converting existing facilities into updated, inclusive, and accessible restroom banks.

Finally, CORE added a shade structure over the outdoor cafeteria, enhancing year-round usability and student comfort.
