Families First Pediatrics

CORE Architecture redesigned a portion of the existing Families First Pediatrics in South Jordan, UT, converting it into a new pediatric dental clinic. CORE Architecture initially completed the design of the original medical office building for Families First Pediatrics in 2018. The updated space was carefully crafted to enhance both functionality and comfort for young patients and staff. One of the standout features is a brushing station, which allows children to brush their teeth before dental appointments, creating a more interactive and educational experience. Additionally, an iPad station in the lobby provides a fun and modern way to entertain children while they wait, helping them feel more comfortable.

The pediatric dental suite was redesigned to include multiple dental operatories, a panoramic X-ray station, and a dedicated sterilization room for dental instrument storage and cleaning. Three open-style operatory bays accommodate most patients, while two enclosed operatory rooms were provided to enhance patient privacy and sound control. CORE Architecture collaborated closely with the dental equipment vendor to organize the dental equipment efficiently and meet all necessary mechanical, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure requirements.

As part of the remodel project, CORE Architecture also coordinated closely with Families First Pediatrics to relocate one patient treatment room and the staff break room. The newly designed break room offers greater openness and flexibility, featuring microwave stations integrated into an island, dining tables and chairs, and lockers for staff personal storage. The relocated patient treatment room provides a private, functional space for patient care.

CORE Architecture collaborated with Flora Fay & Company on the interior design, blending aesthetic appeal and functionality to create a cohesive, child-friendly environment. This remodel ensures the space continues to meet the evolving needs of Families First Pediatrics and their patients for years to come.
