Payson VA Therapy Room
CORE Architecture designed a significant addition to the Payson VA Therapy Room in Payson, Utah, greatly enhancing the facility’s capacity and effectiveness in serving veterans. The addition was specifically crafted to accommodate an expanded physical therapy program, effectively doubling the size of the previous therapy space. This enlargement allows therapists to provide comprehensive care and comfortably support more veterans in their rehabilitation journeys.
A key aspect of the redesigned space includes relocating two physical therapy offices, creating efficient and streamlined workflows for staff. The spacious new therapy room is carefully planned, featuring an innovative balance track that encircles the entire room. This specialized track system enables veterans to safely harness up and engage in exercises designed to enhance balance, mobility, and confidence, significantly improving their therapeutic outcomes.
Additionally, the project thoughtfully integrated an exterior sidewalk into the therapy room design. By relocating and modifying this sidewalk, an accessible exterior entrance was created, allowing veterans direct access to the therapy space. This outdoor sidewalk is strategically incorporated as part of therapeutic programs, providing a practical, real-world environment for exercises and therapy sessions.
Through meticulous planning and thoughtful design, CORE Architecture has provided Payson VA with a highly functional, spacious, and welcoming therapy environment. This facility not only addresses current patient needs but also ensures adaptability and long-term effectiveness in supporting the health and rehabilitation of veterans.
