Intermountain Health – Layton Office Remodel

The adaptive reuse project required close coordination among multiple user groups, each with unique and occasionally conflicting needs. CORE’s collaborative space planning ensured seamless integration of priorities while optimizing layout and efficiency.

The office design includes open cubicle spaces, private offices, conference and training rooms, privacy areas, break rooms, a large cafeteria, fitness center, locker and restroom facilities, and IT server rooms. Addressing the challenges of a massive 300’ x 300’ footprint, CORE Architecture prioritized natural daylighting. Strategic removal of perimeter offices, installation of skylights, solar tubes, and full-glass partitions brought light deep into the interior, enhancing employee comfort and productivity.

Contemporary finishes, bold colors, and owner-requested pixel art wall graphics reinvigorated the space, creating a modern workplace aligned with wellness design principles. This user-centered design not only improves functionality but fosters an engaging work environment.
