Vivint Fire Reconstruction
CORE Architecture has partnered with Vivint on more than 10 tenant improvement projects across Utah, including a major revitalization of the Vivint Lindon campus. This unique corporate facility includes five interconnected buildings—1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0—designed to support a dynamic, technology-driven workforce. CORE’s design approach focused on aligning architectural elements with Vivint’s Provo headquarters to create a unified campus experience.
Shortly after occupancy of building 3.0, a fire between buildings 2.0 and 2.5 forced a full campus closure. CORE Architecture led a comprehensive adaptive reuse and recovery effort, transforming the crisis into an opportunity for long-term improvement. The team introduced sustainable design strategies that enhanced both performance and the employee experience.
Key upgrades included a reimagined exterior entry and lobby, along with floor-to-ceiling windows on the second level to increase daylight access and strengthen visual connectivity. A new concrete, steel, and glass stair was added and widened to improve circulation and code compliance.
Interior renovations prioritized flexibility and wellness. Offices were pulled back from the building perimeter to allow open workstation zones along exterior walls, maximizing views and daylight. Over 60 new skylights were installed to bring natural light deep into the interior, enabling some private offices to operate without artificial lighting.
This transformative project reflects CORE Architecture’s expertise in corporate campus design, adaptive reuse, and sustainable workplace environments—delivering a renewed Lindon campus that fosters innovation, collaboration, and employee well-being.
