Workday

Located in the vibrant core of downtown Salt Lake City, the Workday offices were designed by CORE Architecture to reflect the company’s collaborative culture and dynamic brand identity. Serving nearly 200 employees, the space strikes a careful balance between vibrant energy and architectural sophistication, all while maximizing comfort and productivity.

The design features open ceilings, glass walls, and bold pops of color, which create an energetic and welcoming atmosphere. These modern elements are grounded by the building’s existing exposed concrete columns, adding an industrial character that contrasts beautifully with the contemporary finishes. Nearly all work areas benefit from abundant natural daylight, reinforcing a healthy, inspiring workplace environment.

CORE Architecture organized the space around a bold architectural move—a single sweeping radius that cuts through the center of the floor plan. Within this arc are enclosed spaces such as conference rooms, break rooms, and private offices, providing acoustic privacy and collaborative functionality.

Meanwhile, the outer perimeter of the office is reserved for efficient open workstations, strategically placed to ensure employees—who spend most of their time in these areas—receive the greatest access to natural light and exterior views. This thoughtful layout supports both individual focus and team interaction, key components of a modern, people-centric workplace.

The Workday Salt Lake City office exemplifies CORE Architecture’s expertise in innovative workplace design, interior branding, and user-centered planning, delivering a workspace that supports growth, wellness, and corporate identity.
