Utah Valley University Nursing Remodel
The Utah Valley University Nursing Remodel provides a new space for students and educators to fully engage in the learning process. CORE Architecture updated the space to replicate real-world medical environments to provide immersive, hands-on learning for nursing students and educators. Redesigned layouts improve circulation between classrooms, simulation labs, and training areas—supporting collaboration, flexibility, and student engagement.
High-fidelity simulation rooms create realistic healthcare scenarios, enhancing clinical preparedness. Early in the design process, CORE’s interior design team used Virtual Reality (VR) walkthroughs to present immersive views of the proposed spaces. This forward-thinking approach enabled UVU stakeholders to evaluate design options quickly and make confident, informed decisions that aligned with their academic goals.
The remodel strengthens Utah Valley University’s mission to offer exceptional nursing education and meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. With cutting-edge technology integration, modern finishes, and functional design, the updated facilities support both student success and long-term program growth.
UVU’s Department of Nursing plays a critical role in developing future healthcare professionals through a curriculum that blends classroom instruction, simulation training, clinical rotations, and real-world internships.
