Utah Valley University Nursing Remodel
The Utah Valley University Nursing Remodel provides a new space for students and educators to fully engage in the learning process. The remodeled spaces were designed intently to closely replicate a professional healthcare setting and enhance the level of training. Revised layouts for classrooms and training rooms better accommodate students and allow smooth transition between them. Simulation rooms are designed to create training settings that closely mimics real-life scenarios.
Early in the design process, CORE’s interiors team provided Virtual Reality scenes of several spaces within the project. This helped the client to more easily understand and visualize design concepts and quickly determine which option would best suit their needs. The modern design breathes new life into the space and provides UVU with enhanced ability to provide effective education to aspiring healthcare professionals.
The Department of Nursing at UVU is continually making a positive contribution to the healthcare industry. Their approach to educating their students includes hands-on simulation labs and training scenarios coupled with real-life learning through clinical opportunities and internships. The proper facilities and tools is a critical aspect that affects the ability to adequately train graduates to enter the professional world.
