Westlake High School Drivers Tower
CORE Architecture partnered with Alpine School District to design and deliver the New Drivers Tower at Westlake High School in Utah—an efficient, purpose-driven facility that supports the district’s student driver education program. Strategically positioned adjacent to the school’s driving range, the tower enhances campus safety and instructional oversight through thoughtful design and functional planning.
The new facility includes an elevated observation room, staff office, secure storage space, and accessible restrooms, creating a centralized hub for instructors and administrators. The observation room offers expansive visibility across the driving range, allowing for safe, real-time monitoring of student drivers in training. Climate control and ergonomic sightlines ensure year-round usability for district staff.
Designed with durability, simplicity, and daily function in mind, the building integrates seamlessly with the surrounding campus architecture. CORE Architecture prioritized low-maintenance materials, efficient circulation, and ADA-compliant access throughout the compact footprint of the structure.
This project reflects CORE Architecture’s long-standing partnership with Alpine School District, built on trust, collaboration, and design excellence. We’ve had the privilege of supporting the district across multiple campuses with architecture that advances educational safety, flexibility, and community value. The Westlake High School Drivers Tower stands as a strong example of how tailored architecture can support supervision, security, and student growth—reinforcing Alpine School District’s dedication to future-ready learning spaces.
