Wasatch Behavioral Health – Spanish Fork

CORE Architecture was selected by Wasatch Behavioral Health, a public, comprehensive behavioral health provider, to design a significant addition and remodel of their Spanish Fork facility. The project was initiated to enhance both the capacity and quality of care provided to children, youth, adults, and families in the community.

The expansion includes five new client consultation rooms, thoughtfully planned to ensure privacy, comfort, and therapeutic effectiveness. These rooms support a growing need for accessible mental health services in southern Utah County. To further elevate the facility’s offerings, the remodel incorporated a luxurious commercial kitchen, enhancing both service and educational capabilities for clients and staff.

A defining feature of the project is the revised roof structure, which was redesigned to introduce natural light into the building, improving the internal atmosphere and contributing to a calming, healing environment—a key principle in behavioral health facility design.

CORE Architecture worked closely with the Wasatch Behavioral Health team to create a space that reflects the organization’s mission of compassionate, community-focused care, while ensuring compliance with health codes and safety standards. The design integrates durable, low-maintenance materials and supportive infrastructure tailored to behavioral healthcare delivery.

This project highlights CORE’s expertise in behavioral health architecture, public sector renovations, and designing environments that promote well-being, dignity, and functionality. The updated Spanish Fork facility will continue to serve as a vital resource for individuals and families seeking mental health support in a welcoming, purpose-built setting.
